Founder & Managing Director
Oliver Heiland is the founder of Capital for Resilience Advisors (CFRA), advising institutional investors, asset managers, banks and other long-term capital providers on board-relevant strategic, structural and governance questions in private markets.
He brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience across the financial sector, with direct responsibility for strategy, platform design, transformation and governance at scale. At Allianz Global Investors, he advised on the build-out and scaling of one of the first global private markets platforms reaching USD 85bn AUM — working across private credit, infrastructure debt, SME financing, corporate loans, trade finance, infrastructure equity and real assets, including complex blended-finance structures involving multilateral and development finance institutions. At Deka, he advised on the formation of one of the first institutional multi-access private credit platforms (EUR 2 bn investment volume) for a German occupational pension investor. Prior to CFRA, Oliver served as Chief Investor Solutions Officer and member of the executive team of a regulated asset manager (USD 4bn AUM), leading strategic transformation, business solutions and governance at Finance in Motion.
His analytical grounding combines legal training at Allen & Overy with more than 15 years as a faculty member of the Institute for Law & Finance at Goethe University Frankfurt, where he brings in the practitioner's perspective on investment strategy, institutional governance, and regulatory frameworks — applied consistently in service of decision quality.
His advisory work is independent, non-executive and outcome-driven, focused on institutional robustness and long-term partnerships.
